Kim Campbell Thornton, award-winning author of more than two dozen books, past president of the CWA, and content manager for Fear Free Happy Homes and Fear Free Pets, will be taking pitches for 2020 on any topic with a focus on how the subject relates to fear, anxiety and stress in pets, whether by causing it or relieving it. The pitches don’t need to be limited to dogs and cats, but any pet-related stresses that affect humans. Be prepared to discuss how you would cover the subject (personal experiences are okay) and sources you plan to use (even if it’s just “university behaviorist” or “private-practice vet”). Fear Free certified experts are preferred but not required. Fear Free Pets topics should be of interest to veterinarians and technicians. The ideal length is 300 to 700 words – please review what’s already on the site so you can present fresh ideas.
