New members are required to submit:

dues ($35 membership, $15 non-refundable processing fee)
a completed application (see below)

Your application will be reviewed by our membership committee. Please allow 30 days from the date your application is complete for a decision. If approved, you will be notified by the CWA secretary and welcomed into the Cat Writers’ Association as a member. If your application is not approved, you will receive notification. Please be aware that incomplete applications cannot be considered for membership.

PAYMENT

New Member Fee

Price: $50.00

The $50 new member fee includes a $15 non-refundable application fee and the $35 membership dues. Payment will be collected via Stripe on the confirmation page after you submit this application.

Membership Dues

All payments must be made in U.S. Funds only via Stripe, or you can send check, cash, or money order drawn in US funds. Please email our secretary for information on sending a check.

All memberships must be renewed annually in full for $35 by December 31 of the year preceding the membership year.

New member fee $50 (includes $15 non-refundable application processing fee and the $35 annual membership dues). If your membership application is approved in the last two months of the fiscal year (November 1 to December 31) you will automatically become a member for the following full year.

If the CWA Membership Committee declines your application, $35 of your $50 fee will be refunded to you.

Send your completed application, along with your work samples, to the CWA Secretary, who will review your materials and pass them along to the CWA Membership Committee. Please allow 30 days from the date your application is submitted for a decision.
