Subscription to the official CWA-PROLIST email list is offered as yet another benefit of membership in the Cat Writers’ Association.
Subscription to this list is for current CWA members only, and discussions will be limited to those of a professional nature. On this mailing list you can feel free to discuss writing issues, new markets, photography tips, research, agents, contracts, publishers, media interviews, the CWA annual conference, opportunities for submission of work, etc.

CWA-PROLIST – Appropriate Topics
The purpose of the CWA mailing list is to promote professional communication among those online members of CWA. In order to further this aim, a few ground rules have been set to govern message content and list member conduct. The following are deemed appropriate topics for the CWA-ProList:
- Discussions related to writing issues
- Information on available opportunities for submission of work, new markets, contests, etc.
- Photography tips, secrets, help requests, etc.
- Requests for research help, suggestions, etc.
- Advice for submission and/or promotion of writing, photography, poetry, etc.
- Recommendations for dealing with agents, contracts, publishers, etc.
- Hints for publicity campaigns, conducting media interviews, etc.
- Self-publishing guidelines and advice on developing writers web sites
- New book announcements, brags about contest wins, awards, reviews, etc. (Note: congratulatory messages should be sent privately)
- Discussion of the CWA Annual Conference, contest, seminars, editor interviews, contest winners, etc.
NOTE: General discussions of a social nature (cat stories, cat care, weather, birthday wishes, etc) do not belong on the CWA-PROLIST.
NOTE: The CWA-ProList is the only official CWA email list offered as a benefit of CWA membership.
