2025 Special Awards Category Descriptions

Banner shows an image of two hairless, wrinkled, short-legged Dwelf cats with curled-back ears and pale green eyes, crouched on a wood surface with a teal drape behind them. One is looking off in the distance, while the other looks to the left. The CWA logo appears with a white background in the upper left corner of the photo, with the words "Special Awards" in green. Photo is by Pet Foto and was obtained from Pexels.

Special awards are special because they come with cash prizes instead of Muse Medallions. Most are sponsored by companies or organizations other than the CWA, and some are named in honor of CWA members who have made a significant difference for cats in their lifetimes.

Find descriptions of all special awards below. If you prefer, you may download a PDF file of the special award descriptions here.
